This is the second Rugged Rosary I have purchased. The first was a Black Monk rosary and this is the Crusader rosary which is military like. I work through the rosary daily more than once. My first one was also a gem and I used it on my two Paris to Chartres annual pilgrimages, a 70 mile was in 2 1/2 days with 20K people, reciting the rosary over and over in working through the arduous walk. I wanted the Crusade one for my next walk since the pilgrimage is rooted in the route the Crusaders took enroute to the crusades. Chartres cathedral holds the Vail of our Blessed Mother, most treasured relic in Christendom after the Holy Cross. I touched my Black monk rosary to the repository where Her Vail is housed in Her chapel. This rosary captures the crusade mindset of self-giving love for God with its brass metal and magnificent crucifix and connectors. Many people remarked how magnificent my Black monk was almost as if awe struck. This one will garnish the same attention and I direct folks to this website. Its strong, durable, handsome, inspiring.
