In 1830, the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared to St. Catherine Labouré, revealing the only sacred medal she personally designed and requested us to wear. In the vision, she stands upon a globe, signifying her dominion as Queen of Heaven and Earth, while her foot crushes the serpent’s head, fulfilling the prophecy in Genesis. Rays of light stream from her hands, symbolizing the many graces she bestows upon those who seek them. Some rays remain dark, representing graces left unclaimed because no one asks for them. The year inscribed on the globe beneath her feet marks the time of the apparition.
Encircling the image are the words: “O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee.” This inscription affirmed the doctrine of the Immaculate Conception, which was newly defined at the time.
The reverse side of the medal displays the flaming hearts of Jesus and Mary, burning with love for humanity. At the center, a cross stands above a horizontal bar, symbolizing the earth. Mary’s initial, “M,” is intertwined with the cross, signifying her deep participation in the work of redemption. Surrounding the image is a crown of twelve stars, as referenced in Revelation, traditionally associated with the Apostles and, by extension, the Church as a whole.

I really like the miraculous medal even though it seems to have lost some of its color. I'm not sure if it was the holy water that caused it to oxidize a bit or if i just got water on it. Nonetheless, I still like the necklace and medal.

So beautiful. I love it. I love the paracord so much too, as it feels so much stronger and also feels more humble and muted too instead of the slightly flashy chain I used to wear my previous miraculous medals with. I also love the adjustable bead so much. While it's off, you can pinch on it while holding the medal down and then sliding the bead up to adjust how far up along your chest it is, which took me a while to figure out and I was so happy when I finally did. As a cashier at a major and busy supermarket, I had a polo shirt as a uniform so I positioned my medal right over my neckbones, and I got so many nice comments over it which management thankfully allowed me to wear outwardly. Even more awesomely, it was a conversation starter at a few times for matters of faith, the Blessed Mother, other customers' miraculous medals, and so on. It also really keeps you on your A-game when It comes to how you conduct yourself in public; I was quite conscious of myself when out with it for the first while I had it on, and I think that's a good thing! The blue enamel has not lost its luster as well. That's so awesome. After 6 months, I also touched it to a relic of the True Cross, and perhaps providentially, I accidentally left it at the house of my grandma who lives in a far-away country from me, and from what I hear, she now wears it all the time too, even in the shower! The Blessed Mother is awesome. I have now purchased another miraculous medal too. Especially as a man, I highly recommend this beautiful and rugged miraculous medal!

Once your return is received and processed, we will send you an email to notify you that a refund has been applied to your credit card or original method of payment. Although we issue the refund immediately, it might take a few business days to appear on your credit card. Please note we cannot refund return shipping costs.

We are also happy to exchange rosaries in new condition within a reasonable amount of time. Please email us at support@ruggedrosaries.com if you wish to make an exchange. In your email, just tell us which rosary you would like instead. We can send you the new rosary, along with a prepaid return label to make it simple to return the original rosary.
If you purchased a similar product from another company such as a paracord rosary, or a WWI style combat rosary, and for whatever reason, you have a problem with it - We will take care of you! Maybe the other company doesn't have good customer service or maybe you bought a cheaper imported mass-produced copy (see about them here).
