This rosary design is inspired by the Trappist Monks and Sisters that follow the teachings of St. Benedict. The Rule of St. Benedict, written in the sixth century, guides the lives of Trappists and describes the ideals and values of monastic life.
A prayer from Thomas Merton's "Thoughts in Solitude":
“My Lord God, I have no idea where I am going. I do not see the road ahead of me. I cannot know for certain where it will end. Nor do I really know myself, and the fact that I think that I am following your will does not mean that I am actually doing so.
But I believe that the desire to please you does, in fact, please you.
And I hope I have that desire in all that I am doing. I hope that I will never do anything apart from that desire. And I know that if I do this you will lead me by the right road, though I may know nothing about it.
Therefore will I trust you always, though I may seem to be lost and in the shadow of death. I will not fear, for you are ever with me, and you will never leave me to face my perils alone.”
Thank you for shopping.

Everything in this rosary (in fact, all Rugged Rosaries rosary/ies) is/are topnotch and absolutely beautiful. You can't go wrong owning it. It'll last a lifetime. I really liked it that I ordered more, to include their WW1 Battle Beads rosaries. I hope Rugged Rosaries come up with the Paracord with Crucifix Pendant aside from the St. Michael Pendant.
I felt in love the first time I saw it from a priest friend of mine. He told me that it got it in Germany. I began to search on the web and found it here. I love its heavinesses, excellent quality, simplicity, durability .
Its simplicity appeals to me. Love the earthen and copper tones. Has some heft, feels solid and well-made in my hands. The first rosary that I’ve had since I was a child. Very pleased with this purchase. Fast delivery. Thank you!
I complete agree with all the other comments about how beautiful, rugged, and substantial this rosary is, but for me the attraction is the cross with its reminder of the Eastern Orthodox icons that include what I think they call The Ancient of Days ... which I thought was a depiction of God, The Father. Along with my admiration for the artistic/spiritual beauty, I also felt somewhat uncomfortable with any anthropomorphic depiction of God.
Earlier today I read an explanation/justification for what appeared to me a Third Member of The Trinity, and the following link leads to an interesting article that provided me with a different slant on the use of The “Ancient of Days” on my rosary: https://www.catholic.org/news/hf/faith/story.php?id=47361
This is without a doubt one of the most beautiful rosaries I’ve seen or held.
Loved the rosary itself immensely. It was a gift, and the recipient was very appreciative.
Only adverse comment - it's kind of expensive. I think your reach would be better if you reduced your pricing 10%-20%. I paid over $40 for this rosary, and I have trouble justifying buying more of them for that price. In this instance, there were a couple of reasons why I needed to purchase this particular one, but I do think it's priced quite above what it should be.
Thanks for listening.
I love having a durable Rosary that I’m not afraid to damage. Carry it in my pocket every day and I also like that it has some weight to it and feels substantial in your hand.
I love my new rosary. It’s of the highest quality and very durable.
I’m truly impressed with this company. This is the second product that I have bought from them and intend on buying more. Their products are beautiful, well-made, and unique. The Trappist rosary specifically is a work of art. It calls to mind simplicity and humility while are the same time being artistic and creative. Do not hesitate to purchase.
