On the Front of the Pardon Crucifix, above the corpus, are the words “Jesus Nazarenus Rex Judaeorum. ” The English translation is “Jesus of Nazareth, the King of the Jews.”
On the back of the cross is the Sacred Heart and two inscriptions. The first on the horizontal portion is the prayer of pardon which gives this crucifix its name, "Father, forgive them". On the vertical portion of the back are the words spoken by Jesus to St. Margaret Mary in 1675, "Behold this Heart which has so loved men". At the foot of the cross, also on the back, is the symbol of Mary.
These indulgences have been declared upon the Pardon Crucifix by Pope St. Pius X in 1905, and have been approved in the pardon of the living and the souls in Purgatory in 1907. (Never forget to pray for souls in Purgatory!)
In addition, His Holiness Pope Pius X, has declared that the Indulgence attached to the Pardon Crucifix are applicable to the souls in Purgatory.

I’m very pleased with the pardon crucifix.
The pendant arrived in about 3-4 weeks due to the hurricane in Texas at the time of ordering. When it arrived, the pendant was presented in bubble wrap, including several prayer cards, a bonus thorns pendant, and the crucifix. My only issue concerns the QC, specifically with the rear of the pendant having lost some of the paint on the words. (see image)
I hope they will either send me another one or provide a partial refund, which is why I am rating this 4/5. The product itself is great and the company is exceptional. This is my third purchase from Rugged Rosaries and will continue to purchase from them.
The Pardon Crucifix is a beautiful devotion to our Lord and Savior. The crucifix is elegant and the meaning behind it is powerful. I had mine blessed by our parish priest and I wear everyday. I love the chain as well, it is long enough to fit over my head without unclasping it. I highly recommend this crucifix and if you need a rosary, the WWI rosary with the pardon crucifix is a great companion. I love Rugged Rosary products.

This is a beautiful crucifix that I wear daily. The crucifix no longer brings an indulgence, but it is still a timeless piece of history.
I purchased this for my son for Easter. He and my daugher were just was baptised, confirmed, and received first Eucharist on Easter Vigil! I got this for him because the 5-way cross was not available as I have already gotten him 2 of them in the past but both were lost (as boys do). Interestingly enough, he found one of the 5-way crosses and now wears both that and the Pardon Crucifix together.
The Pardon Crucifix is larger than his 5-way cross but it fits him well. He is 10 years old. It is another quality item from Rugged Rosaries.

I normally don't give reviews, but this is a really great product so I think it deserves it: I received my Pardon Crucifix Powerful Protection Pendant a couple of weeks ago and I've been wearing it 24/7 ever since. Once your return is received and processed, we will send you an email to notify you that a refund has been applied to your credit card or original method of payment. If you purchased a similar product from another company such as a paracord rosary, or a WWI style combat rosary, and for whatever reason, you have a problem with it - We will take care of you!
