This Irish cross design was taken from a large stone cross found at an ancient monastic site in County Wicklow, on the Eastern edge of Ireland. The Glendalough Monastery was founded by St. Kevin in the late 6th century, during a time when Catholicism was just beginning to emerge in Ireland. There are many legends surrounding St. Kevin and his order of monks. It's a beautiful cross with symbols for the Holy Spirit and the Holy Chalice of the Eucharist.
Love the Irish Blessings Rosary - very solid and I have no worries about it breaking like my other rosaries. My late Mom was very Irish and I feel she'd love this connection to her heritage that I use daily.
With the birth of my first born, I wanted her first gift to be something meaningful that she will hopefully carry for the rest of her life. I didn't want to buy a standard rosary for fear it wouldn't last the years but I also didn't want to get a child/kid rosary as I want her to continue to use it well in adulthood. Luckily I came upon rugged rosaries. The products far Exceeded my expectations. I will say it isnt something we can let our child have unsupervised in the early years, but if anything it encourages my wife and I to pray with her and teach her about our faith. I also got two chaplets, one for myself and one for my wife. My wife loves the gift and idea and we are excited to pray with our little girl over the years.
Well made and heavy! Bought it for an Irish friend facing some medical issues, he loved it.
Very good quality. I will order another one in the future.
Solid construction, thick cord, heavy beads, and beautiful pendants = years of use to come! Love the design and the strength of this. Not for the weak or faint of heart.
I received the Celtic Cross Rosary with metal beads few days ago. I am happy to say that this is everything I expected. The cross is elegant, and the overall weight gives substance to the feel. I was not looking for elegance yet there it is...it cannot help itself. I gave my RR Benedictine Rosary to a friend in need and am very happy with the Irish Blessing rosary. If you do not know the rosary story of Nigerian Bishop Oliver Dashe Doeme you should...this is my new Irish Prayer Sword. Peace to all at RR...I love your products. God bless, Dennis.
I’m planning on giving this rosary to my nephew for his confirmation. When the rosary arrived I opened the package up in front of my wife. She was so impressed with the beauty of the cross and the beads that she started to tear up. What a beautiful rosary she said. I’m hoping my nephew will see this as a more masculine version of the rosary and be proud to show it off to his Catholic friends when he prays with it. I had to go to a holy store to get a Saint James medallion, the patron saint he selected after his late uncle. This is the second rosary I have purchased from Rugged Rosaries and I am going to get more of these to encourage my other nephews to pray the rosary. Yes praying the rosary is cool! Just look at this awesome rosary!
I’ve been a customer for a long time they never disappoint the product is long lasting
