Cross Bead Wooden Rosary

Such a beautiful crafted Rosary, love the fact that the tradition states that the wood is from the tree/plant used to make the Crown of Thorns. It’s a great reminder of the Passion of Jesus.

I was looking for a simple corded, all wooden Rosary that I would be able to fall asleep with and keep with me and not worry about it breaking. This did not disappoint. This is not a thicker Paracord Rosary. But I like the proportions of this one for its intended purpose. The beads are very smooth, feel very dense and sturdy and they smell great. They are a good size and I love that there is a knot in between each of the Hail Mary beads. The Crucifix is very proportionate and has some rounded edges, which is very nice for my purposes, especially. The small our father crosses have some rounding as well, which is a detail that I noticed when I was looking at other peoples photos. I added my own blessed sterling silver Saint Michael the Archangel and Saint Benedict medals. I had my beautiful rosary blessed after this Sunday mass..
I have the Three Hail Mary Paracord Rosary that I keep on my nightstand as well. It reminds me to start my day on my knees. I have a Seven Sorrows Chaplet on the way! I prefer these over any fancier chain link style Rosary.

I generally prefer my Rosaries to have traditional crucifixes with attractive ornamentation like the "Pardon Crucifix" or the "St. Benedicts Cross". I've owned multiple Rosaries over the past decade and have either lost or broken them within a year. This is not an especially attractive Rosary, but it is a traditional design...and fairly tough. It's smaller and lighter then the paracord Rosaries, but large enough that you won't lose it...and if you do it will be easy to find. The crucifix is thicker then it looks in the photos, and the beads are perfectly spaced for any sized fingers. The cord appears to be really strong and there is a pleasant amount of flex when you squeeze the beads.

I'm 6'4 and 260 pounds, so I really enjoy using a 'beefy manly" Rosary...and this fits the bill perfectly. It's also a great choice if you prefer wearing one around your neck. Initially not my style...but I love it!
