This Irish cross design was taken from a large stone cross found at an ancient monastic site in County Wicklow, on the Eastern edge of Ireland. The Glendalough Monastery was founded by St. Kevin in the late 6th century, during a time when Catholicism was just beginning to emerge in Ireland. There are many legends surrounding St. Kevin and his order of monks. It's a beautiful cross with symbols for the Holy Spirit and the Holy Chalice of the Eucharist.

I purchased this Irish Blessing Rosary for my 7 year old. I didn't realize the cross had no corpus. I assumed it was an actual crucifix. We might change that part out. Other than that, this is a very good Rosary.

The Paracord, regular beads and clover Our Father beads give the rosary a great tactile feel which reminds me to slow down and concentrate on my prayers.
Personalizing the rosary with add on medals is well worth the effort!
I like that the heft of the cross is proportional to the heft of the rest of the rosary. Good quality, sturdy and the beads have a good finish. The attention to detail when it comes to the spacing of the decades and the travel that the beads have is pleasant and symmetrical. I honestly wouldn't have expected that from a handmade rosary.

This rosary is heavy duty and strong. I would recommend this to some one I know.
Even though USPS messed up the shipping and sent it all over the country (tracking made it look like it would never make it), it eventually found its way back to me in time for Saint Patrick’s Day. I love the size and weight of this rosary, very manly. The metal beads and green cord complement each other well. The Celtic cross and devotional medal cross make it extra special. It makes you look forward to praying 5 more decades.
The Rugged Rosaries’ Irish Blessings Rosary far exceeds any expectations I had of it. The pictures don’t do it justice. Rugged Rosaries’ Celtic Cross is a design based on the famous Celtic Crosses seen in Monasterboice, Ireland, as well as the Kingswood war memorial in Surrey, England, and other sites throughout Ireland and the U.K. The weight of the Celtic Cross on this Rosary is heavier than I expected; in a good way. It’s got heft, that’s for sure; as does the rest of this metal beaded Rosary. This is truly a weapon for a prayer warrior. I went with the Hunter Green paracord; it looks great with the Celtic Knotting. I chose a Miraculous Medal of Mary and a St. Patrick Medal as add-ons. (The reverse on the St. Patrick Medal is the Irish St. Bridget. Great! Two medals in one!) I’m giving this Rosary to a friend of mine (Irish/American) for St. Patrick’s Day. Once your return is received and processed, we will send you an email to notify you that a refund has been applied to your credit card or original method of payment. Although we issue the refund immediately, it might take a few business days to appear on your credit card. Please note we cannot refund return shipping costs.
Only regular priced items may be refunded. Unfortunately, sale items cannot be refunded.
We are also happy to exchange rosaries in new condition within a reasonable amount of time. Please email us at support@ruggedrosaries.com if you wish to make an exchange. In your email, just tell us which rosary you would like instead. We can send you the new rosary, along with a prepaid return label to make it simple to return the original rosary.
If you purchased a similar product from another company such as a paracord rosary, or a WWI style combat rosary, and for whatever reason, you have a problem with it - We will take care of you! Maybe the other company doesn't have good customer service or maybe you bought a cheaper imported mass-produced copy (see about them here).
