This Rosary was inspired in 2016 by Fr. SJMC+ who authored the poem, The Monks: 
 

The Monks


The huge silver teapots
that adorn the refectory table
and the velvety jam
gingerly spread
over thick wedges.
Quaint English civility
that masks what happens beneath.

As these black clad brothers retire
there is no convivial conversation
over cigars and brandy by roaring fire,
they return to their work
their continued encounter
with His divine self.

The rain, in sheets, lashes the rooftops
and the wind, whipped up, attempts
to penetrate the panes in windows
which rattle in their frames
and give rise to the feeling
that this is a fortress
in the great battle beyond.

These men in humble habits
are warriors for a world  we rarely see
yet they dwell in for life.
Each worldly distraction,
each body afflicted with illness
or the fragility of mortality
is but a speck in the grand plan
of the eternity they bear witness to
and becomes nothing more
than fodder for their prayers
which continue to rise
like the obsidian winged companion
of their Holy founding father.

He who took the fire
which was kindled in the East
and built around it a school
that we may too learn
how to fan the embers
embedded in our souls
that they may burst into flame
for Him, who calls
each and every disciple
to be a monk in ordinary life
with singularity of focus
to prefer nothing
to the love of Christ.

My first Rosary

I am new to Catholicism, hoping to join OCIA this Fall. I wanted a rosary to learn the daily prayers and came across Rugged Rosaries. So glad I did. This thing is overbuilt and will last me a lifetime. The crucifix is beautiful and really stands out against the color palette of the beads and cord. I love it.

FREE SHIPPING
We offer a free Standard shipping option for domestic USA orders of $60.00 or more.
We offer free Priority shipping for domestic USA orders of $200.00 or more.
 

USA ORDERS
On orders in the USA we offer the following rates which you can choose in the checkout process. In addition, we offer a free shipping option on orders of $60.00 or more.
The US Postal Service starts counting these days on the day after the item is received by the post office. We have found that orders going to the lower 48 states usually arrive within 3 or 4 days using standard but is not guaranteed.
  • USPS Standard  (5 - 10 days) for orders of $60.00 or more:  FREE
  • USPS Standard  (5 - 10 days) for orders up to $7.98:  $3.90
  • USPS Standard  (5 - 10 days) for orders over $7.99:   $6.90
  • USPS Priority  (2 - 4 business days): from  $11.90 - $16.50
  • USPS Priority Express (1 - 2 business days):  $32.50
  • UPS Ground (5 - 10 days):  $12.50
Note that orders over $120.00 may have higher priority and express shipping costs depend on weight and packaging sizes.
 

CANADIAN ORDERS

Shipping rates to Canada vary with size of order but begin at $15.00 USD.
Economy Intl is $15.00 USD - 6 to 10 days. (Larger orders up to $23.00 USD).

Returns

Exchanges

We are also happy to exchange rosaries in new condition within a reasonable amount of time. Please email us at support@ruggedrosaries.com if you wish to make an exchange. In your email, just tell us which rosary you would like instead. We can send you the new rosary, along with a prepaid return label to make it simple to return the original rosary.

Exchanges from OTHER Companies - Dupe Swaps

If you purchased a similar product from another company such as a paracord rosary, or a WWI style combat rosary, and for whatever reason, you have a problem with it - We will take care of you! Maybe the other company doesn't have good customer service or maybe you bought a cheaper imported mass-produced copy (see about them here).
