In 1830, the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared to St. Catherine Labouré, revealing the only sacred medal she personally designed and requested us to wear. In the vision, she stands upon a globe, signifying her dominion as Queen of Heaven and Earth, while her foot crushes the serpent’s head, fulfilling the prophecy in Genesis. Rays of light stream from her hands, symbolizing the many graces she bestows upon those who seek them. Some rays remain dark, representing graces left unclaimed because no one asks for them. The year inscribed on the globe beneath her feet marks the time of the apparition.
Encircling the image are the words: “O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee.” This inscription affirmed the doctrine of the Immaculate Conception, which was newly defined at the time.
The reverse side of the medal displays the flaming hearts of Jesus and Mary, burning with love for humanity. At the center, a cross stands above a horizontal bar, symbolizing the earth. Mary’s initial, “M,” is intertwined with the cross, signifying her deep participation in the work of redemption. Surrounding the image is a crown of twelve stars, as referenced in Revelation, traditionally associated with the Apostles and, by extension, the Church as a whole.

It is not subtle but that was what I was going for. I absolutely love it. Don’t forget to get it blessed!

Once your return is received and processed, we will send you an email to notify you that a refund has been applied to your credit card or original method of payment. If you purchased a similar product from another company such as a paracord rosary, or a WWI style combat rosary, and for whatever reason, you have a problem with it - We will take care of you! Maybe the other company doesn't have good customer service or maybe you bought a cheaper imported mass-produced copy (see about them here).
