This compact all-metal rosary is rugged, functional, and portable. It has a meaningful history, as it is a replica of the service combat rosaries issued by the government to soldiers, sailors, and flying aces during WWI. Now with slightly larger Our Father beads, the WWI Battle Beads rosaries are the closest replica available to the vintage antique service combat rosaries from 1916!
These rosaries are quite strong, small and portable, and very easy to carry in your pocket. The chains are beautiful nickel-free silver patina finish over brass which makes them weighty and very comfortable in your hands.
The Our Father beads are slightly larger to aid in meditative prayer. You can feel where you are as you move through prayers and at 21" long, they are wearable but still bunch up small enough to carry in your pocket.
Although the WWI Battle Beads Rosary is rugged enough to carry in your pocket, we do include a small round box for presentation and storage.
As with all Rugged Rosaries, you may add optional medals. We recommend only adding up to 4. Some of our photos show an optional medal attached. Please note that medals can vary slightly depending on available supply.

I have now purchased three Rosaries from Rugged Rosaries, and I am long overdue leaving a review.
Every product I have purchased from RR has shipped VERY fast, telling me the staff are diligent with filling orders. Every order has also included a couple small gifts like prayer cards or a rubber cross bracelet, which just feels very personable and kind-hearted on behalf of this company.
The Rosaries themselves are wonderful. I bought two in the WWI Battle Beads style. Both are beautiful, durable, and comfortable to hold, but still fit perfectly in pockets or small tins, making them conveniently portable. One of my two Battle Beads rosaries is in the "Seven Sorrows" style, and still fits perfectly in the tin despite being slightly longer.
The paracord rosary I bought is a bit bigger and bulkier, but it can still fit in larger pockets if you intend to take it on the go. This rosary feels extremely solid and durable, and the larger beads are comfortable to hold. When asking my priest to bless it, he remarked "the Rosary is a powerful spiritual weapon...this one might be strong enough to use as an actual weapon though".
Overall, all three Rosaries I have purchased here are beautiful, durable, and affordable. I will happily buy from Rugged Rosaries again.

The rosary is high quality like everything else these guys make. I wear mine as a necklace and doesn't raise any attention. That said, it's really shiny so maybe next time I'll get the gun metal version.

Once your return is received and processed, we will send you an email to notify you that a refund has been applied to your credit card or original method of payment. Although we issue the refund immediately, it might take a few business days to appear on your credit card. Please note we cannot refund return shipping costs.

We are also happy to exchange rosaries in new condition within a reasonable amount of time. Please email us at support@ruggedrosaries.com if you wish to make an exchange. In your email, just tell us which rosary you would like instead. We can send you the new rosary, along with a prepaid return label to make it simple to return the original rosary.
If you purchased a similar product from another company such as a paracord rosary, or a WWI style combat rosary, and for whatever reason, you have a problem with it - We will take care of you! Maybe the other company doesn't have good customer service or maybe you bought a cheaper imported mass-produced copy (see about them here).
