This version of the WWI Battle Beads was inspired by Private Flora Sandes. She was the only British woman to serve in uniform, in combat, as an enlisted soldier in World War One.

This compact all metal rosary is rugged, functional, yet beautiful. It has a meaningful history, as the style is a replica of the service combat rosaries issued by the government to soldiers, sailors, and flying aces during WWI. Now with slightly larger Our Father beads, the WWI Battle Beads rosaries are the closest replica available to the vintage antique service combat rosaries from 1916!

These rosaries are quite strong, do not tangle, are small and portable, and very easy to carry in your pocket. The chains are brass with silver patina which do not rust, and have a nice weighty feel.

The Our Father beads are slightly larger to aid in meditative prayer. You can feel where you are as you move through prayers and at 21" long, they are wearable but still bunch up small enough to carry in your pocket.

Although the WWI Battle Beads Rosary is rugged enough to carry in your pocket, we do include a small round box for portability and storage.

As with all Rugged Rosaries, you may add optional medals. We recommend only adding up to 4. Some of our photos show an optional medal attached.

Beyond Expectations

The original brass patina rosary is beautiful. Exactly as pictured and described. I love the history behind it. I bought it for my grandsons first communion. I can’t wait to give it to him. It’s masculine and suited for a young man.

Good rosary

This a really attractive rosary and it is sturdy. A great rosary gift for a man.

Rosary

My wife bought me the single decade rosary for Christmas and I love it so much I came back and bought a full rosary with a leather carry pouch. My previous rosary was too light and the beads were too small but this one is PERFECT. Good weight to it, nice sized beads, and just plain cool looking. The problem with your rosaries is I want all of them…..and for that reason I’ll enjoy giving them as gifts.

Powerful tool

My brother in law just found out that he has stage 4 lung cancer. He has some grim days ahead… I gave him this rosary because he needs something in his hands that will give him strength as he goes to war against cancer.
