The FTC (Federal Trade Commission) has guidelines for using affiliate links so as an RR Affiliate user, you need to understand the rules.  The most important thing you need to know about being an affiliate is that you must always disclose in a clear and conspicuous manner that the link you're sharing is an affiliate one.

Basically, if you include affiliate links in a blog post, you have to include a disclosure within your post. The best way to do this is in a conversational tone. Something like this: "I only promote products I love, but full transparency, I will get a small commission if you click through my link and purchase a rosary! Thank you for helping support my blog."

Another way to do this would be to put  #advertisement or (advert) next to or under a banner or link. The hashtag, #ad, is easy to use and only takes up 3 spaces!

Other web pages might put something like this: "Note: This website may contain affiliate links" on the sidebar and footer.

If you're sharing on social media such as Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, etc, there are several ways you can disclose.  I've seen some people use hashtags such as #ad #aff or #sponsor at the beginning or end of their post.  Others start their post with "Disclosure: Affiliate link."  It's up to you...just make sure you disclose it in some way!
